Artifact: Motor Development
Lab 4
Date: Spring 2011

Reflection:
Motor Development lab 4 was to observe the motor skills of students at St. Mary’s Elementary School. My task was to describe the motor skill of a young boy and girl while they performed an overhand throw and a catch. The results of their performance enabled me to recognize and critique their motor movements, which will be an important component to my teaching career. Being able to describe and apply theory and principles related to skillful movement is important for a Physical Educator because it is the job of the educator to be able to break down, demonstrate and critique the elements of each skill movement.
